With over three decades of experience in airline IT since 1989, I have devoted my career to creating innovative solutions that optimize, modernize, and transform business processes within the aviation industry.

​Since IATA introduced the groundbreaking concepts of New Distribution Capability (NDC) and ONE Order, I've focused my efforts on:​​

  • Crafting optimal, tailored migration strategies from legacy Passenger Service Systems (PSS)

  • Seamlessly integrating new technologies with existing systems​​

My more than ten years of experience with architecture and design of the next generation airline sales systems, and finally having supported live operations of the first pure OOSD for two years has been crucial in understanding the full scope of this philosophical change. 

 

Only after this period of practice was I able to fully recognize the full extent of ONE Order's role in shaping the future of airline commerce - and use this understanding for further development opportunities and the following migration approaches.​

THE FIRST

pribas airline solutions GmbH released the first OOSD 

 

A fully NDC and ONE Order based airline reservations and inventory system. "Triple-NO" to booking classes (RBDs), filed fares, and tickets... 100% PSS free. 

Real time integration with Revenue Management and Departure Control.

 

The worldwide very first non-PSS, pure Offer & Order based system went live with Norwegian startup airline flyr in 2021.

THE EARLY

pribas GmbH released first NDC implementation

Connecting OTAs, aggregators, and meta searchers to German airline Condor in 2014.

Full servicing with all types of amendments, ancillaries, 3rd party transportation followed between 2015 and 2019, at that time IATA-certified Level 4 and @Scale.

 

One of the earliest full featured NDC implementations in the market.

 

Further users included UK based Thomas Cook Airlines, flybe, and Turkish SunExpress.
